Portfolio Tracking
Professional-grade portfolio tracking with accurate return calculations.
How tracking works
Jetro tracks your portfolio the same way mutual funds do. When you create a portfolio, your capital is divided into units. As you add or withdraw money, units are created or redeemed at the current value. This gives you accurate performance numbers that aren’t distorted by the timing of your deposits and withdrawals.
Two return methods
| Method | Source | Measures |
|---|---|---|
| TWRR | NAV per unit over time | Strategy performance (how well did the picks do?) |
| XIRR | Transaction history (cash flows) | Investor’s personal return (how well did I time it?) |
Import formats
- Weights. Sector or asset class percentages
- Shares. A CSV with ticker, number of shares, and average cost
- Transaction replay. Full buy/sell/dividend history
Corporate actions
Splits adjust share count and average cost. Bonuses add shares at zero cost. Dividends increase cash balance (not units). All tracked automatically via the portfolio maintenance skill.
Live NAV on canvas
The agent renders your portfolio as a frame on canvas with a refresh binding. NAV updates every few minutes when the canvas is open. Daily NAV is persisted to disk for historical tracking and performance charts.
