Browser Preview

View your canvas and elements in a full browser window.

Two ways to preview

Sometimes you want more screen real estate than your editor panel allows. Jetro gives you two ways to open your work in a browser.

Companion App

Opens your full workspace in a browser tab at localhost:17700. You get the sidebar and the canvas, just like inside your editor, but in a full browser window.

This is great for:

  • Presentations. Put the companion on a projector or screen-share it.
  • Multi-monitor setups. Keep the editor on one screen, the canvas on another.
  • A bigger view. Some canvases are dense. A full browser window helps.

The companion app live-syncs with your editor. When you or your agent make changes in the editor, they appear in the browser instantly. It works both ways.

Element Preview

Opens a single frame element full-screen in a browser tab. Instead of viewing the entire canvas, you focus on one specific dashboard or chart.

This is useful when you want to present a single output without the surrounding canvas clutter. Click the browser icon on any frame element, or use the right-click menu.

Fully local

No internet connection needed. The companion app runs entirely on your machine. Your data never leaves your computer during preview.

How to open

Run the “Open in Companion” command from the Command Palette, or click the browser icon on any frame element’s toolbar. You can also ask your agent to open the companion for you.

Live sync

Both preview modes stay in sync with your editor session. If a frame has a live refresh binding, the browser preview updates in real-time too. This makes the companion app especially useful for monitoring dashboards on a second screen while you keep working in the editor.
